2009-08-17: ZZ Top Plans To Continue Trek Without Aerosmith !!!
 
ZZ TOP has announced that in the wake of Aerosmith's scrapped tour due to frontman Steven Tyler's fall from a concert stage, tourmates, ZZ Top have mapped dates of their own this fall in many of the canceled tour's markets. As previously reported, Tyler suffered a broken shoulder and a cut to his head that required stitches after plunging from the stage during an Aug. 5th concert in Sturgis, SD. The great news for the East coast is that ZZ Top will be playing at the House Of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ on 9/19/09 and on 9/20/09 at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA !!! PEARL JAM has officially added 2 more shows at the Spectrum on 10/27/ & 10/31 !!! We were the first to tell you about Bruce Springsteen adding 2 more shows at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA!!! Now we are again the first to confirm that PEARL JAM will be playing on 10/27 & 10/31 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA !!! These will be the final concerts EVER at the historic Spectrum !!! We first posted this information on July 25th !!! So, Pearl Jam's mini-tour of 9 dates which originally ended with 2 concerts on 10/28 & 10/30 at the Spectrum will now be increased to an 14 date mini-tour in the US with the last 4 concerts taking place at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA before the venue is demolished to make way for an entertainment complex. 2009-08-03: The Who's Roger Daltrey 2009 Solo Tour !!!
 
ROGER DALTREY frontman for legendary British rockers THE WHO, will set out this Fall on his first headlining solo tour in nearly a quarter century. Daltrey is billing the run as the "Use It or Lose It Tour," referencing his need to keep his pipes in shape while logistics for The Who's next tour are hammered out. The run is scheduled to hit nearly 30 cities in the US and Canada between 10/10/09 and 11/30/09. The tour will have 2 local dates at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on 11/13/09 and 11/14/09! After gathering for a one-off reunion last August, the surviving members of the original BAD COMPANY - vocalist Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke - are playing a 10-show mini-tour this Summer !!! The East Coast trek kicks off 6/17/09 and will end on July 4th at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, NJ !!! DAVE MATTHEWS BAND due to a change in schedule, have changed Summer tour dates in Camden, NJ and Scranton, PA. The shows at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ, originally scheduled for 9/22/09 and 9/23/09 will now take place on 9/19/09 and 9/20/09. The Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA show, originally scheduled for 9/19/09 will now take place on 9/23/09. All tickets for the original dates will be honored on the evenings of the rescheduled concerts.

BON JOVI will play a free concert to celebrate the Philadelphia Soul's Virgin Mobile Arena Bowl XXII championship, a team that Jon Bon Jovi co-owns. The gig's date and location will be announced next week. The band's upcoming show, dubbed "Soul Celebration featuring Bon Jovi," is part of a partnership between Virgin Mobile USA and the Philadelphia Soul.

2007-12-28: Billy Joel Playing In Philadelphia 1/26/08 !!!
 
BILLY JOEL will be playing at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, PA on 1/26/08 !!! Billy will join the Philadelphia Orchestra on 1/26/08 at its original home, The Academy of Music, to celebrate the opera house's 151st anniversary !!! Joel's performance will be his first with a major American orchestra, according to a press release. He'll play a selection of songs from his 30-year career, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, led by conductor Christoph Eschenbach, will present the world premiere of Joel's classical composition "Waltz No. 2." A portion of the proceeds from the event will support the Philly Orchestra's Billy Joel Endowment Fund for Education. The donation marks the first time the Piano Man has created an endowment fund with an orchestra, although he has made significant donations to the music programs of several universities. VH1 DECADES ROCK LIVE – HEART & FRIENDS !!! ALICE IN CHAINS, DAVE NAVARRO, GRETCHEN WILSON, CARRIE UNDERWOOD and RUFUS WAINWRIGHT joined in honoring HEART in a concert on VH1 Decades Rock Live with special guest performances by DUFF McKAGEN & MIKE INEZ!!! The event taped Friday at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ at 9:00pm in the Deacades Rock Live Arena. Horizon Press Company was covering this SOLD OUT concert!!! The tribute to Seattle Rocker's HEART, included former Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist DAVE NAVARRO, 2005 American Idol winner and double–platinum recording artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD, who scored the fastest selling country album in history, singer/songwriter RUFUS WAINWRIGHT, country rocker GRETCHEN WILSON (pre–taping prior to the show), and the reunion of ALICE IN CHAINS, as well as cameos by DUFF McKAGEN, MIKE INEZ & PHIL ANSELMO, just to name a few. The all–star show, featuring Heart and an unusually eclectic group of guests (everyone from “American Idol” star Carrie Underwood to a new version of the grunge band Alice in Chains), was taped for broadcast on the VH1 Classic channel, as part of its “Decades Rock Live” series. Though it suffered from the usual frustrations of a live taping (frequent, yet minimal breaks in the action, some song do–overs caused by technical failures), it was a satisfying tribute to a perennially underrated band. Heart lead vocalist Ann Wilson, who is Nancy’s sister (and the only person, besides Nancy, who has been in the band from the start), can still sing with the raw power and strutting theatricality of a young Robert Plant. This isn’t a random comparison –– Heart covered four songs by Plant’s former band, Led Zeppelin, Friday, and they were all impressive. Heart’s “Barracuda”, "Magic Man”, “Straight On” and “Crazy On You” really highlighted the performance. During an encore of “Dreamboat Annie”, roses were thrown into the crowd. In alternating segments, Heart played on its own, and with guests. Underwood crooned the power ballad “Alone,” and singer–songwriter Rufus Wainwright duetted with Ann Wilson on the introspective “Dog & Butterfly, while country star Gretchen Wilson, in a pre–taped segment, joined the band for the sassy rocker “Even It Up.” Navarro added burly guitar riffs to songs like “Bebe Le Strange,” “Straight On” and “Crazy On You.” Alice in Chains –– who, like Heart, hails from Seattle –– played its own “Rooster,” with Ann Wilson handling some of the vocals. Alice in Chains also played a riviting set of; “Angry Chair”, “Man In The Box”, “Them Bones” and “Would?”. 2005-11-30: Bon Jovi playing in Philadelphia 12/2/05 & 12/3/05 !!!
 
Horizon Press Company will be covering the Bon Jovi concert at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA on Friday 12/2/05 and Saturday 12/3/05. Bon Jovi is currently on tour supporting their new album, "Have A Nice Day". Both shows are SOLD OUT!!!!! As are most of the concerts on the "Have A Nice Day" tour!

ROCK & F'N NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH VELVET REVOLVER!!!!!! That's right, Velvet Revolver are going to be playing New Year's Eve at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ! Horizon Press Company will be there.....will you? Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, but will be sold out very quickly, as the Starland is a small venue. The last show Velvet Revolver played there was awesome!
